I am excited to rejoin the St. Rose faculty this year! While many of you know me from my previous role as a substitute teacher, I am now blessed to be serving as your language arts teacher for 7th and 8th grades, as well as teaching 6th grade math, and religion for the 6th and 8th grades! I have been working at St. Rose for 12 years, during which I have held various substitute and long-term positions, with one year dedicated to full-time teaching. Previously, I taught in the public school system with the Matawan Regional School District and in the Petaluma District in California. I believe in an education rooted in the Catholic faith and cannot imagine a more wonderful place to be than St. Rose of Lima! We are a family here! Some of you I have enjoyed teaching since preschool, and others will be new to our school family. Together, we will make a great team!
This year in middle school, we will continue our journey to being fully prepared with the skills and knowledge necessary for entering high school. I believe that parents and teachers work best as a team with open communication being crucial to a child's success! Please feel free to email me with any questions or concerns you may have during the school year via email at [email protected].
We are destined to have a fantastic year at St. Rose and I am excited and blessed to be a part of it. I look forward to seeing everyone on September 4th!I am so excited to be back teaching the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students!
This year I will be teaching my homeroom religion, science, and social studies. I will be teaching science to 7th and 8th graders as well.
Be sure to check out homework on Google Classroom. Children will be able to join my classes once school begins. Assignments will be posted on a nightly basis.
Should any issues come up , please dont hesitate to contact me.

September 5th:
Hello, 6th-grade parents & guardians! Your children had a busy day changing classes all over the school for the first time! They are officially middle school students! It will take some time to get used to the change, but they did very well today. As they learn their schedule and what they need to bring to each class, they will surely improve!September 4:
Welcome back to school! We had a fantastic first day! I loved seeing all the children again and getting to know our three new students. Although there was a lot of information, we did have some time to chat with our friends and learn more about each other. I greatly enjoyed our first day. Below are a few reminders.
1) Please return emergency cards and technology forms as soon as possible.
2) Math packets are due tomorrow. Book reports and book projects are due on September 10th.
3) If transportation changes, there is a link on the top left of the St. Rose of Lima School website. Please do not email me or call the office for a transportation change. Kindly see the eblast.
4) School lunches are now through the EZ School App. We will no longer take lunch orders through the homeroom in the morning. Kindly see the eblast.
5) If there is a technology issue with the Chromebooks, please have your student fill out the Technology Repair Request under the Academics tab on our home page. That is also in the eblast.6) Schedules will be sent home tomorrow.
7) Remember to bring in a laptop computer bag so that we can distribute the Chromebooks.
8) My Remind code is: @fha8876
August:
*Students are allowed to bring in water to stay hydrated. Nonmetal bottles are preferred!
*Please make sure your child has tissues and hand sanitizer for his/her personal use.
*We understand the need for phones at the end of the school day, especially if your child has an activity. Please note that they will be turned off and collected at the beginning of the day. We will be returning them at the end of the school day but students will not be allowed to turn them on until they are either at an activity, or out of the building at the end of the day.
*Please send your child to school with paper, writing tools, and a folder (if possible) for the first day. They can bring in coloring supplies as well if those have been purchased already. I will send a "bill" for supplies given to students as well as magazines used in religion when everything has been finalized.
*Students will be signing on to my Google Classroom. All assignments, study guides, and materials will be posted there.
*You are welcome to encourage you child to send me an email with questions they may have. I enjoy when students start to advocate for themselves! Self-advocacy is important for success as they near high school! [email protected]
