It welcomes young children to an eleven-year journey from being a fledgling 3-year-old to becoming a great 8th grader poised for high school. Our children are introduced to faith, socialization, fun, and an age-appropriate education.
Personal Growth Our young students grow in awareness of oneself and others through our nurturing Catholic environment. They develop independence and socialization skills during guided play, group learning, and differentiated hands-on activities.
Academic Program Language development blossoms in storytelling, writing, and letter recognition. The daily calendar, counting, shapes, sequencing, and patterning incorporate math. Science comes alive as children plant “magic” seeds in the spring and explore the weather, seasons, and hibernating animals. Children meet heroes and enjoy holidays of various cultures during Social Studies units. Enrichment classes, which are taught by our staff specialists in Art, Music, Physical Education, Library, and Spanish, round out our program.
Partnering Our preschoolers partner with “older” students in many ways such as school-wide prayer experiences, special holiday activities (Halloween parade!), science projects, and community events such as the Fire Department visit. They become good neighbors with their classmates and buddies in various grades. Our school is a family!
Program Times Our preschool has a five-day program (Monday through Friday) or a three-day program (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday). The full day program is from 7:45AM to 2:15PM and the half day is 7:45 to 10:45AM. Before school care begins at 7AM and the extended day program (EDP) is from 2:15 to 6PM.
Come and See At St. Rose of Lima, our young children receive a strong foundation for life, for friendship, and for faith in our spiritual and academically oriented preschool program, nestled in our family-like environment. We have a rolling enrollment acceptance process. We invite you to visit us. Contact the school office for admission information and to set up a private tour.
